Oh man, oh man - talk about a blast from the past! I can't believe I still had this stuff on my harddrive.
So, true story: Back in '06, long before I ever got my first Sonic the Hedgehog penciling opportunity, I was trying to get in with the Archie-posse as a colorist-for-hire. Myself and Ian and Tracy had met up at Heroes Con that year and I'd pitched the idea to them and we were all excited and such and... Well, I went on to other projects, and then heard from our editor, Mike, about a year-and-some-change later about a penciling assignment. Rest is history.
Still though, these were pretty rad to work on back in the day. Flats were done by my boy Fred "Trunks" Wood. Script by Ian Flynn, pencils James Fry, and inks by Jim Amash. Hope ya' dig!

"You can't always tell one from another. And it's best not to judge a book by it tattered cover. I have found when I tried or looked deeper inside. What appears unadorned might be wondrously formed. You can't always tell but sometimes you just know."
Dude, this coloring was a lot better than the stuff that was on the final Darkest Storm comic that I got. The coloring made Mr. Fry's art seem...more substandard than what usually comes from him.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example.
