C’mon now. You watched this show when you were little. Admit it. And hey, the Green Ranger MADE that show, baby. This guy was bad-ass – or at least as bad-ass as Power Rangers could get.
Well, I watched this show. Religiously, even. But I lost track of it after only its second season. I could never make it home in time from school to watch. Plus, after a couple years and when they started changing it up like its Super Sentai footage every year to a new version? Well, by the time you it puberty Power Ranger just wasn’t all that cool any more. And boobies were. So, you know…
But ma-an. I remember this dude. The Green Ranger kicked ass. Me and a buddy of mine, Steven Lau, would sit around drawing pictures of this guy, fighting monsters and stuff, when we were kids. I moved after that first season, and I sorta’ lost track of alotta’ my childhood chums. But ‘ey, wherever ya’ are Stevey, check it out bro! It’s the good ol’ Green Ranger. Just like the old days.
Specs: Ink doodle and Photoshop. Trying to reacquaint myself with both ink and Photoshop still.
hell yeah! now this is what I'm talkin about. Tommy kicked major ass, and "Fighting Spirit" proves it. Tommy vs. his old green dragon, white tiger and red zeo ranger powers, yeah!
Dude... you rock. I used to own the toy dagger that played the flute sound and the power morpher with the change-o coins. Those were the days. Man I'm such a loser.. haha But then the fucker turned into the White Ranger. Dunno if you remember that, but they made him seem like an alien when they changed him over. Cool art, Cool memories.
Kids got hooked by the robots and stayed for the Green Ranger. That WHAS honestly what made it watchable.
Right now i'm more of a Super Sentai fan myself now. Because unlike it's americak Power Rangers counterpart it doesn't suffer from convoluted quasi-continuity and each shows effects are tailor made to fit per episode. Not to mention that whenever the Rangers fight they don't happen to wound up in a part of the US where all the signs are in Japanese and the film quality is different.
Anyway; great one. The shadows are a bit dark but that's got to be for the backlighting.

I love the Power Rangers, and I still do today. Jason David Frank's character, Tommy Oliver, will always be a TRUE HERO of the Power Ranger's univserse. His last role as the Black DinoThunder Ranger was excellent, and it was great having him back on the series with a new generation of rangers at his side. Now that POWER RANGERS: SPD (Space Patrol Delta) is coming out in February, I wander if Tommy and thoe toher would ever come back?
Oh well, who cares? Tommy will forever be a legend.
