Just wanted to share some of my favorite interior pages. These are from Sonic the Hedgehog #235, published by Archie Comics.
This is totally my favorite issue from last year. Sonic's an action adventure book, and it's pretty rare that the pace slows down as much as it did in this ish. Without having to worry about big action sequences, I got to just focus on environments and atmospheres. And there's alotta' both in this issue. We check in with the happenings of many different characters in this story, and I did my best to set each apart in the color schemes chosen.
I love Silver's apocalyptic future color scheme. It's like constantly bathed in a sunset or something. *RayDillon
originally came up with the future's look over in Sonic Universe, so I was pretty excited to maintain the continuity and try out a color scheme I'm usually pretty shy to use. Silver's actually a pretty fun and easy character to color, too - that white fur makes him pop out just about anyplace and those glowy powers of his are all kinds of fun.
