The coming TV season is looking mighty empty. Sure, some favorites are coming back - Smallville, and West Wing is in the midst of, like, changing its whole cast or something. And Boston Legal is coming back for a second season - AND the rest of the first, too, after ABC postponed it. (Damn you ABC!) And Scrubs doesn't resume until December. (Damn you NBC!) And the 'toon front looks even worse. Kim Possible is... gone.

Personally, I'm all for a show going out before it goes bad, really. Yet somehow I have trouble, I guess, fathoming how a good show can go bad after only 65 episodes. And I can understand when creative teams get burnt out and want to move on, too - yet with all the anti-65eps subtext in the movie, I'm sure THOSE guys had plenty more in mind to do with these characters. So I'm bummed.

I hear they got "Save Kim Possible" campaigns going on. ([link]) I'm sure everyone has mixed feelings about those - even I always doubt they'll work out. I mean, if the Buffy-verse fans couldn't save Angel... Well, you know. I like to believe in this one, though. Not because I'm a Kim Possible fan - obviously I would LOVE to see the show continued - but because it's more of a call to end antiquated policy. To axe the creatively unjust 65-episode cap Disney applies to all its shows and to stress the merits of quality shows rather than quantity of variety.
